Homecoming Parade Fun

10/07/2016:  Our robotics team had participated in both of the Troy High and Athens High School homecoming parades to promote STEM and FIRST throughout our community. The Homecoming parade is where all the schools clubs come together to march down the street and present their members.  Our team members were excited to walk town the street with our mascot, Sharkie, and throw candy at the masses of children on the sidelines. Our t-shirt shooting cannon made our team one of the favorite floats at the parade. In addition to walking down the street and shooting the cannon, we also showed an enormous amount of school spirit. The most prominent showcase of our enthusiasm was our mascot, Sharkie. The rest of our members had on our blue team shirts and with blue face paint to cheer for our team. We looked like an ocean of knowledge with our Sharkie parading down with us. It was an amazing experience for our robotics team to be able to participate in the parade and to represent our team.
